Wow.

The whole thing reminded me of a circa 1970's-esque cartoon. The way that the voices were full of too much treble and the groovy music. Great job of recreating that genre. lol. I enjoyed it. Let me give you a breakdown of my ratings.

Graphics - 9 - you did well. The mouths didn't quite synch up to the speech though. They were delayed by maybe a quarter of a second. I understand that they aren't supposed to synch exactly, but if you could make it a bit closer, it would be excellent.

Style - 8 - I enjoy some of the cartoons from the 1970s, but after a while, they get humdrum and boring. This was, to me, a large re-make of a 70s cartoon, but it was done damn well. Great job at that. =)

Sound - 6 - Too much treble hurts my ears. One of the reasons I don't like 70s cartoons was because they sound just wasn't balanced enough. I know you were trying to go for authenticity, and you got it on the nose. So I gave you a 6. Good job, but it hurts my ears. Maybe try using some more evenly-balanced sound next time? with more bass and less treble?

Violence - The splashing of Nutcase underwater was cool, a little violent. And well, it was a pretty tame show. So, what violence there was, I gave it a decent score. =) Really tame though. Once more, very 1970s. =)

Interactivity - 0. I gave it a 0, because there was no interactivity, it was a movie, and there was nothing interactive about it. =)

Humor - 9 - Made me crack up at how corny it was. The stuff from the 70s was all very corny, and this was pretty darn good. Great job man, I enjoyed it! I wish you the best of luck and success with your company! I am not an expert, but I have watched cartoons all of my life, so maybe take some of the things I've mentioned into mind and use them to build up your cartoons. Namely, and specifically, the sound. Too much treble is bad these days. =)

Great submission overall. I hope you submit more stuff to the portal here. So I gave you an 8. Not the best score, but definitely far from average. =)

I <3 Jot + Jab =)

Jot + Jab rules Dave! Great job, and thanks for bringing this to NG! =D

If this doesn't get Feature of the Day...

Oh, but I see it already did. Excellent job in storytelling and animation. I know exactly how this guy feels. I lost a girlfriend because I was stuck on a routine before. No big deal, but I rather liked my routine, lol. Thank God that my career I have right now isn't really much routine at all. =) I loved this work my friend, and I look forward to seeing much more from you in the future!

Awwww Joanime...

Anything you do always makes me hard, love. ^_^ Great job guys (especially the lovely Joanime!) hehe

"Bitchin"

I enjoyed it a lot. Good job. :) It's a lot better than most crap that gets submitted to this web site. hehe. Congratulations for getting a new fan out of me! :)

Thank you for choosing Metallica. :)

Your use of Apocalyptica's Metallica covers worked perfectly with this. When I first heard Wherever I May Roam, I was like, Hell yeah, this is gonna be great! :) Good job! And congrats on the front page!

Great

I love president George W. Bush. He is the best president this country has ever had. Known and preventable catastrophes are being ignored way before a problem can be prevented, gas prices are at a ludicrous all-time high, the Prez approval rating is at its all-time low. Most of our troops are in another country fighting a war that didn't need to happen. We are in such good hands.

Don't blame me. I voted for Kerry. :)

Clearly, I vote soft drinks.

Tequilla blanco!

Good ol' Kook. ;) Awesome stuff Jay. Keep it up. Kegel rules.

Hey, I liked it.

the song was a good one. The animation stopped synchronizing after a while though... fix that and it'll be better. I liked it. It was definitely different. heh.

Well

That pretty much sums it up. The animation could have been a little smoother, but I still enjoyed it. I played Sonic 2 so many times that I knew that game inside-out. : ) I still do, and it has been about a decade since I played it last. hehe. Good job at rekindling old memories. I gave it a 5.

All that is gold does not glitter. Not all those who wander are lost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, a light from the shadows Shall spring. Renewed shall be blade that was broken, the crownless again shall be king. - J.R.R. Tolkien, Paraphrased.
